Instructions for the Waiting List for Swimming Lessons

Thank you so much to all our returning and new clients this year.  We've had such a tremendous response that our swimming lessons are now full for the summer, despite adding several additional classes.  If you wish to be placed on a waiting list, please email us at cathyslilfish@gmail.com and include the following information:

1. Your name and phone number
2. Your child(ren) name(s) and age(s) and what level(s) they are.  To see a description of our levels, click on the "schedule" tab above and scroll all the way to the bottom.
3. Any limiting factors (i.e. "I can do any session except the 3rd one." or "I can only do classes after 4:00 p.m.")

We'll post both here and on facebook when we have cancellations and there's no one waiting for those spots on the waiting list. So to receive those updates, either check back here periodically or "like" our page on facebook (click here to go to our facebook page).  Thanks again and we'll see you in the pool!

1st day of swim weather problems

4:00 classes canceled due to thunder.  We hope that by 4:30 it will pass over.  Please check back.

UPDATE: By 4:10 it had all passed over.  We now have no wind and blue skies  Lessons are on for now.  Please check back if you experience bad weather in your area.  Thanks!

Lessons update

Classes from 9:00- 12:00 are cancelled for today.  The temperature is still in the 30's right now, so the makeup classes for Miss Cathy's classes will be this Friday at the same time.  Hopefully by noon, we can resume classes today since most of those were canceled yesterday.  If you have questions, call Cindy 713-8113.

Also remember to please be careful not to block our neighbor's dirt driveways (there are two).  Thanks so much.

Weather update

The wind is picking up and I'm worried that the beginner and intermediate students will be too cold to swim.  I think we better cancel the 12:30-3:00 classes!  Check back to see if the late afternoon will be held!

ALSO....our neighbor across the street said that several people parked in a way that blocked his 2 dirt driveways.  He needs to be able to pull large trucks and trailers through there because he has a landscaping business.  Please be very aware when you park across the street not to block the two large dirt driveways.  Thanks you!
UPDATE:  2:13 pm.  All classes cancelled for today!  The wind, rain and temperatures are combining to make it miserable.  Hopefully tomorrow will be better!

Oh the weather in Idaho!

We are currently hoping to hold morning classes this morning.  There is virtually no wind, the pool is warm and the sky is dry, BUT please check the website before leaving home, because there are storms to the west and if they roll in with high winds, we may still need to cancel.  We're trying to swim today, because the rest of the week looks as bad if not worse in terms of temperature, rain and winds.

Important Update

Hello Swimmers!  We received several complaints from our neighbor that people were parking and blocking his driveways.  He has 2 dirt driveways that can be difficult to see because they are dirt.  Please be especially mindful of parking along our property line or in our driveway as much as possible.  Thank you!

Swimming Lessons and the Weather

As of right now (4:46 p.m.) we have clear skies and no rain here, but I've been hearing of rain in other places. So for now, plan on lessons continuing, but I will be updating the website every 15 - 30 minutes to let you know if things have changed.  Thanks!

UPDATE: It's 5:15 and all of the dark clouds are still passing far to the North of us and we're still clear so we're keeping our fingers crossed!

UPDATE: It's 6:15 and it's cloudy, but warm and still no wind or rain.  Keep checking the site to see if we need to cancel.

Swim Lesson Registration Update

As you probably noticed, we are still trying to play catch up!  We do still have spots left for those who called/emailed the first day, it's just challenging getting a hold of everyone and finding something that will work for them. We will be posting  on our website here just as soon as we're caught up and if we have any remaining spots available.  Thank you for your patience!

Registration for Swimming Lessons Temporarily Closed

I'm terribly sorry to announce that I need to temporarily suspend swimming registration. I'm so backed up on emails and calls that I'm afraid I won't be able to get in even the people who have already tried to contact me. If you already called or emailed and haven't heard back from me, I will jump on it again first thing tomorrow morning, but I've gotta get to bed! As soon as I get caught up I will let everyone know if there are any spots left!

Thank you all for your kind words and encouragment. I had a great day with the kiddos yesterday and worked for several hours during naps to get things organized. We will be contacting most of you over the next 3 days so expect to hear from us soon! For those who haven't yet contacted us, hang tight until next week and we'll let you know what we have left. New Instructions for Registering for Swim Lessons

Thank you all so much for your support and interest in our swimming lessons! We have had such an overwhelming response this year! Unfortunately, because of that response we are quickly filling up. So instead of emailing me specific preference, please simply email me the names, ages and levels of the kids you want to sign up and any limitations you have (i.e. the earliest we can be there is 4:00 and we'll be out of town for the 2nd session) and I will get back to you and let you know if I have anything available sometime tomorrow. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Registration Madness!

We love you all! But we want to let you know we are still 40 emails behind. We have been working NON-STOP to get it done. So please forgive us if we're slow getting back to you and be aware that the numbers on the schedule are not up-to-date.

UPDATE: As of 5:45 I am still playing catch up. I'm currently at the emails/voice mails that were received around 12:00. If I don't get back to you this evening, I apologize! If you're just now trying to sign up, please send me more than 1 option as your first choice will most likely not be available. SORRY!

How to Register for Swimming Lessons

Registration is now open!

UPDATE!!! We're working through emails and voice mails as quickly as possible, but we're really backed up so please know we are trying to get to you as quickly as possible!

If you want to sign up for swimming lessons, here's how you do it.

1. Click on the "schedule" tab above

2. Scroll to the very bottom of the page to see a description of the levels if you're unsure where to place your children

3. Email (best choice) or call us and let us know which class(es) you'd like, the names & ages of your children, and your phone number (if you're new or it's changed).

4. We'll send you a confirmation email with information about remitting payment and many other frequently asked questions.

5. Be sure to remit payment by the deadline in your confirmation email to hold your spot.

If you're unsure whether or not there's room in the class(es) you want, consider sending us your first choice and second choices for classes. If the class you want is FULL, don't give up! Email us and ask us to be placed on the waiting list for that class. We always have a lot of cancellations and people switching spots so we are often able to accommodate you. Thank you and we'll see you this summer!

Swimming Lessons for Summer 2012

Hello swimmers! Summer is coming up quickly, so here's the scoop on registration.....

We will be teaching a total of 4 sessions this summer. The dates are:

June 4th - 14th

June 18th - 28th

July 9th - 19th

July 30th - August 9th

As always, we will be teaching one class in the pool at a time every half hour from 9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. A detailed schedule with class times, levels and instructors will be posted on our website under the "schedule" tab at 10:00 a.m. April 17th and that's when we will open registration. Please don't try to register prior to that as we won't be able to hold any spots early. Just a suggestion for the day of registration...our phones will be ringing off the hook, so the best way to get the classes you want is to email me your requests. I'll call you back if you have questions that need to be clarified before placing your children. I'll be responding to those emails and any voicemails I get in order of when I received them, but please don't be discouraged if it takes a little while to get a hold of me those first few days!

Also, just wanted to let you know that Miss Cindy's preschool (Miss Cindy is the co-owner and best teacher at Cathy's School for Lil' Fish) has opened registration for fall 2012. For more information about this awesome program, check out www.theboisepreschool.com!

Swimming Lessons Summer 2012

Maybe it's because we still don't have snow and so it doesn't really seem like winter, but we've already been receiving some calls/emails about swimming lessons this summer :) We're excited too! However, we will not be posting the schedule or opening registration for classes until the beginning of April. If you're worried about getting into the classes you want, here are some suggestions:

2. Send us an email at cathyslilfish@gmail.com with the email you want us to contact you at and tell us to update it/add it to our contact list.
3. Check this website in mid-March and we'll post the exact day we'll be posting the schedule and opening registration.

On the day we open registration, I will post it on facebook and send out an email to all of our existing contacts letting them know that the schedule is up and we are ready to get you registered. As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact us. Have a fun and safe winter and we'll be talking to you all before you know it!
