Swim Lessons 2018

UPDATE: Our September session of lessons is FULL!  For information about how to register for our 2018 lessons, please read below!

Hey Swimmers!  Thank you all for a fantastic 2017 season!!!  We are so blessed to have so many wonderful clients and will miss your families this winter!  Because we have an outdoor pool, we only teach lessons seasonally, May - August/September.  The pool IS heated (we don't like cold water!). We will post our summer 2018 schedule the last week of March or 1st week of April.  At that time we will also post the date and instructions for registration, which usually opens up the middle of April.  We fill our classes on a first-come, first-served basis.  So the best way to get in is to come back to this website around the first week of April to check out the schedule, make a plan, and put the registration day on you calendar.  You can also like us on Facebook (search for "Cathy's School for Lil' Fish") to get reminders and/or email me at cathyslilfish@gmail.com and ask to be put on our email list so you receive reminders about the upcoming swim season.  We look forward to seeing you in 2018!

Register for Swim Lessons

I've decided to teach one more session of swimming lessons this fall September 5th - 14th. Classes start TUESDAY the 5th and run Tuesday - Friday the 1st week and Monday - Thursday the 2nd week. I offered spots to those on the waiting list first and here is what I have left! If you'd like a spot, please EMAIL me at cathyslilfish@gmail.com Tuition will be $65 as usual.

Parking issues!

Swimmers, We have had several of our neighbors complain that people are pulling up too far on the curbs and into driveways and are inadvertently breaking sprinkler heads and flattening grass. Please remember that because we are a home based business, out ability to continue teaching is dependent on being courteous and respectful of our neighbor's properties.

Along with that thought, please remember to:

1.   park on our side of the street as much as possible from the fence line on our west edge to Cloverdale Rd. 

2.  Please don't block mailboxes or driveways.

3.  Please CARPOOL so that only one car per family is here at one time. We love to have grandparents there to cheer on the Lil Fish, but too many cars will cause problems.
4.  Please DO NOT use circular driveways as roadways.

Update on classes today

Hey all,

Right now the radar looks like a cloudburst at 3:00, but smooth sailing after that until 8:30 or 9:00 pm so please plan on coming to classes 4-7 this evening!

Classes are on!

It's sprinkling right now but the pool is warm so plan on attending classes between 12:00 and 3:00 today.  The radar models also are hopeful for the 4-7 classes, but stay tuned.

Thunderstorms

Hi Swimmers,

I know it may be sunny where you are, but we had lightning this morning so we have closed the pool until noon.  By 11:30 we'll post whether the noon classes will be held as planned today.  Please stay tuned.  We hate to cancel, but want to keep all the swimmers safe.

We'll swim Tuesday - Friday this week for those missing classes today.

Road construction on Cloverdale Rd.

Hi Swimmers,

Apparently there is some road construction happening on Cloverdale Rd.  Please give yourself some extra travel time for swim lessons!  We don't want you to miss any part of your classes!

Open Swim Spots

Hi and welcome to your site!  If you're interested in swimming lessons, we do still have a few spots left.  Click on the "schedule" tab above and scroll all the way to the bottom of that page for a description of the levels.  Once you've determined which level your child should take, peruse the schedule for open spots, then email us at cathyslilfish@gmail.com and let us know you'd like the spot.  Be sure to include your contact information: name & phone number, your child's first name and age and which session/time you want.  If you don't see anything left that you want, don't despair!  Shoot us an email letting us know what you WOULD like and we'll let you know when something opens up.  Thanks!

Where we're at.....an UPDATE

Hey Everyone!  If you submitted a form early this morning and have not heard back, DON'T PANIC :)  We have worked very hard for the past 17 hours and have placed 153 families!  But all of those forms came in between 7:01 and 7:05:36   We still have a big chunk of you to get to that registered early this morning and we apologize for the delay.  It just takes time :)  But there ARE still spots left and we will work hard all day tomorrow and Thursday to find everyone a spot that we possibly can!  Talk with you soon!

Registration Closed until April 25th

 We have temporarily suspended registration as we already have over 250 families who have submitted registration forms.  We need a chance to get these folks registered and update the website with what availability we have left.  Registration will then re-open on Tuesday, April 25th at 7:00 a.m. to fill remaining spots. Be sure to check the schedule on the website on the evening of the 24th to see what's left!

Swimming Lesson Registration Opens April 18th, 7:00 a.m.

Hello Little Fish!  It's time to start thinking about swimming lessons again this summer!  Registration for swimming lessons will open this year on April 18th at 7:00 a.m. and will remain open until we have 200 families registered.  At that time we will temporarily close registration until we have processed those first 200 and then we will re-open registration a few days later :)  Here is how you register!

1. Go to our website at www.boiseswimming lessons.com and click on "schedule" at the top of this page. Scroll ALL the way to the bottom to read a description of levels and determine which level you should register your child(ren) for.  Then look through the sessions and pick out the dates and times you would like. We highly recommend picking at least 2 - 3 options that would work for you and putting those down on the online registration form so that if we can't get you into your first choice, we can work you into your 2nd or 3rd choice!

2. When registration opens, click on this link to take you to the registration form and fill it out.  It will ask for your name, phone number and email, your child(ren)'s name(s), age(s) and level(s) and which session(s) and time(s) you want.  There is a limit of two sessions per child for the initial registration on April 18th.:

3. When you click submit at the end, you will get a confirmation message letting you know that we've received your form.  All of the forms will be time stamped, and we will respond to requests in the order that they are received.  Please keep in mind that in past summers, we have received more than 100 forms in the first 30 minutes of registration so it may take up to 48 hours to get back to you. 

4.  After you register you will receive an email confirming your session(s) and class time(s), however your spot is NOT held until we receive payment.  All money is due by May 1st regardless of which session you register for and you will receive a confirmation email that your payment has been received.

If you do NOT receive an email confirming that we have received payment, please contact us to make sure that we have received payment or your spot will be given to someone else.  Your tuition is NOT refundable except in the case of extreme illness of the student.

If you register for multiple sessions (ie. June 20-30 and July 25-Aug. 4) you may pay for one session May 1 and the other by June 1 but the above policies are still in force.  Tuition will be $65 per student per 2 week session

Registering for Summer 2017!

Hi Everyone!  The nicer weather has prompted a lot of inquiries about registering for lessons for summer 2017.  Here is what you need to know!

1.  We are still working with our teachers to finalize availability so our summer 2017 class schedule will be posted HERE under the "schedule" tab above sometime during the last couple of days of March or the first couple of days of April.  Check back then!

2. When we post the class schedule, we will also post here, on the homepage, what day and time registration will open, but plan on probably sometime during the week of April 17 - 21 :)  We will also post the LINK that you'll click on to register online at that time, but the link won't be active until registration opens.

3.  On the day and time registration opens, the link will become active.  To register, you'll click on that link and fill out a form with the following information:

     1. Your name and contact information
     2. The names, AGES and levels of each of your kids. (To determine which level they are, click on      "Schedule" and scroll ALL the way to the bottom to read a description of the possible levels.  Just      pick your best guess!  If they're REALLY in the wrong place, we'll work to move them around :) )
     3. A request for which session(s) times you would like as well as a 2nd (and possibly a 3rd choice)      choice if your first choice is already filled. So make sure you look at the schedule ahead of time so      that you know what you want!

4. After submitting your online form, you'll receive either a confirmation email, confirming that you are enrolled in those classes and payment due dates and information or a phone call from Cindy or Cathy.
